Campus Kickoff Starts LLB Series in Style

Pennsylvania College of Technology once again helped welcome visitors to Williamsport for the Little League Baseball World Series on Wednesday, hosting a cookout for the 16 Series teams and participating in the 11th annual Grand Slam Parade. The pre-march picnic – attended by more than 350 Little League players, coaches, team “uncles,” umpires and officials – was held on the lawn outside the Bush Campus Center. Students, faculty/staff, alumni and “Future Wildcats” from the Dunham Children’s Learning Center took part in the parade, stepping off from Susquehanna and West Fourth streets and carrying Penn College Pride all the way to Market Street. Series games begin Friday (Thursday’s scheduled start was postponed by heavy rain) and conclude Aug. 30.
