Penn College students and employees were encouraged to stop smoking this week as the Healthy Wildcats, joined by the state Department of Health and Clinical Outcomes Group Inc., marked “Kick Butts Day” outside the Keystone Dining Room. “Quit kits” were available Wednesday in the lobby of the Hager Lifelong Education Center, along with demonstrations, giveaways and information on cessation services. Among the supportive members of the campus community were Kristi L. Hammaker, health and fitness specialist, and LaDonna J. Caldwell, director of compensation and benefits for the Human Resources Office – and chair of the college’s Wellness Committee.
