Campus Community Invited to Join SMAC in Suicide-Prevention Walk

The fifth annual Greater Lycoming Out of the Darkness Walk for suicide prevention will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, in Montoursville’s Indian Park. The walk will be a 5K (3.1 miles) and the proceeds raised by walkers will go toward American Foundation for Suicide Prevention research and education programs. Students Making a Contribution, a Penn College club for volunteering, has formed a team for the event that anyone is welcome to join. Those who have been affected by suicide or depression are especially encouraged to take part. If you are interested in walking as part of the SMAC team, register online. Any questions can be emailed to SMAC.
