Campus Bloodmobile Visit Nets 178 Pints

A total of 178 pints of blood was donated at last week’s Red Cross Bloodmobile, less than the 200-pint goal but still a good job by the Penn College community for a great cause. Sixty prospective donors were declared ineligible for a variety of reasons and were deferred to later visits; 38 of the donors were first-timers!

The ACM Computer Club’s 25 pintswon the SGA competition among participating organizations, followed by the Construction Management Association (14). Other double-digit finishers were the Society of Plastic Engineers, PC Customs (12), and Society of Plastic Engineers (11). A variety of other student groups also attracted donors on their behalf.

Door prizes (which can be claimed at the Student Health Center on the first floor of the Bush Campus Center) were awarded to:

Dan Bilger Josh Brinker Jesus Chaparro Jennifer Coover Evan Dandrea Kyle Eaton David Ferguson Jon Fitzgerald Jared Goodman Carl Gravely Mark Griffiths Kathryn Hildenberger Jesse Holdren Amanda Le Clair Michaela Lehman Janet McMahon Mike McNaul Kathleen Matzinger Nick Pedro Tim Rittenhouse Stephanie Smith Zachary Soccio Nicole Stiver Dan Umstead Heather Weidler
