Business Administration Professor Re-Elected to Chairmanship

Terry A. GirdonTerry A. Girdon, head of the business administration department at Pennsylvania College of Technology, has been re-elected to chair the Board of Commissioners of the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education.

Girdon, a professor of business administration in the college's School of Business and Computer Technologies, also was elected to a second three-year term on the assembly's Board of Commissioners during the IACBE annual conference in Kansas City, Mo., from April 11-13. The Board of Commissioners is the body responsible for setting accreditation expectations and reviewing the self-study and site-visit reports for purposes of granting accreditation.

The IACBE is one of three business-degree accrediting bodies for colleges and universities in the United States and throughout the world. IACBE has more than 230 member institutions and is the fastest-growing business-accrediting body in the world, with branch locations in Geneva, Switzerland; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Mangilao, Guam.

All of Penn College's business and accounting degree programs have been fully accredited by the IACBE since 1998.
