Brittany R. Terpstra Named ‘Student of the Month’

Brittany R. Terpstra, a web and interactive media major from Jim Thorpe, has been chosen as the March “Student of the Month” at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Terpstra, described by her nominator as “putting herself ‘out there’ in a positive light,” has served as the president and marketing coordinator for the Wildcat Events Board. She has also been a Presidential Student Ambassador, a “Link” in the college’s Connections orientation program and a summer event assistant for the Student Activities Office.

“Brittany is an outstanding student leader who doubles as a great role model to the student body,” the nomination continues. “She has been involved on campus since her first semester and continues to do so to this day. She is always willing to help anyone who needs help.”

Among Terpstra’s other activities, she helped plan the past two years’ concerts co-sponsored with Lycoming College: the April 2016 appearance by The All-American Rejects and this month’s scheduled performance by Mike Posner and The Legendary Mike Posner Band

“Even now, as a graduating senior, she has maintained her grades and fulfills her obligations as an active Penn College student leader,” her nominator added.

Student of the Month recognition is bestowed by the college’s Student Government Association numerous times each academic year based on nominees’ commitment, service, role-model behavior, academics, leadership and campus involvement.
