‘Bear Bunch’ Gets Presidential Tour of Victorian House

President Davie Jane Gilmour gives each visitor a notecard depicting the Victorian House 'The Bear Bunch' passes by the gazebo and gardens before returning to the Bush Campus Center Members of “The Bear Bunch,” a class of 3- and 4-year-olds from the Children’s Learning Center, were treated to a tour of the Victorian House on Friday morning. The youngsters frequently pass by the landmark building on their walks around campus, prompting one of them to ask if they could be invited inside. College President Davie Jane Gilmour happily extended that welcome, and “The Bears” were given a tour of the student-designed and -constructed guest house. “That’s a biiiiiig table,” was among the comments during a visit to the spacious first-floor dining room; the children also saw the grand parlor, kitchen, upstairs guest rooms and the “tower room” − a second-floor rotunda that includes a sitting room/library − before going back outside to stroll the gardens.
