Jesus Nebot will present “Illegal Immigration: A Humanitarian Perspective” in the Klump Academic Center Auditorium at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Part of Penn College’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, will focus on the social and economic impacts of illegal immigration. Participants will have the opportunity to voice their opinions about immigration reform and find out “what politicians and newscasters are not telling us about illegal immigration.” Nebot will return to the ACC Auditorium at 3:30 p.m. Thursday for a special showing of his award-winning film, “No Turning Back,” a thought-provoking immigration story inspired by actual events that reflects upon the need to transcend our judgment of other cultures and points of view in order to live peacefully and harmoniously in a diverse society. Nebot wrote, directed, produced and stars in this critically acclaimed film, which has been viewed by millions of people in 78 countries and is the winner of 23 international awards. Both events are free and open to the public.
