Aviles Selected as PSUAC Women’s Volleyball ‘Player of the Week’

Freshman Cathleen Aviles, of Robesonia, was named the Penn State University Athletic Conference Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for the period ending Sept. 22.  In the team’s 2-0 week, Aviles led the Lady Wildcats with 29 assists and added eight digs, four kills and two service aces.  Her efforts helped Penn College record wins over Penn State Scranton and Valley Forge Christian College. Aviles leads Penn College with 180 assists this season, averaging 5.62 per set and ranking her fourth in the PSUAC. She and the Lady Wildcats travel to Penn State Hazleton for a 7 p.m. match Thursday.
