Auction's $3,000 Proceeds Far Exceed SGA's Scholarship Goal

    Wednesday's Student Government Association Silent Auction raised more than $3,000 for the Student Leadership Legacy Scholarship Fund better than triple the goal for the event. "I cannot express in words how happy, excited and thankful I am for all of your support," SGA President Brian D. Walton said in a message to students, faculty/staff and the general public who attended the event in Penn's Inn. "Take pride in the fact that you have helped a great cause." SGA's objective for the entire year was to raise $2,500 for the fund;combining the $3,000 in auction proceedsand the $1,500 raised prior to the sale, the association has nearly doubled its original goal.
