Mount Nittany Medical Center has pledged to continue a clinical-affiliation agreement with Pennsylvania College of Technology.

The agreement provides use of the hospital's radiology department for the clinical practicum of students enrolled in the college's radiography major.

The State College-based medical center accepts 20 students for 24 consecutive months of clinical education in its radiology department. The center provides financial support for the agreement through an ongoing grant.

The grant funds for 2009-10, $22,000, will be used to support a full-time, 12-month Penn College clinical supervisor's position.

Robert Slothus, director of the college's radiography program, said Mount Nittany Medical Center has pledged funds each year since 1995.
