Pennsylvania College of Technology’s Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association was recently honored by its parent organization.
The American Dental Hygienists’ Association presented the Penn College group with its Graduate Transition Award. The award recognizes student member chapters having a graduate conversion rate to ADHA membership of 90 percent or greater.
The Penn College chapter – one of two in Pennsylvania presented with the award – received a certificate and recognition in ADHA’s Access magazine and at ADHA’s annual session.
ADHA is the largest professional organization representing the interests of dental hygienists on the national, state and local levels. Members receive professional support, educational programs and numerous opportunities for participation in association decision-making.
Penn College offers an associate degree in dental hygiene, which can be continued to a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene: health policy and administration. All courses for the final two years of the bachelor’s degree may be taken online.
