Some visitors to campus will spend the weekend in the Rose Street Commons Residence Halls and take part in various programs around campus. Those activities for registrants and their families begin Thursday, but two free events are open to the Penn College community: Friday's keynote address by Lyn St. James from 7-8 p.m. in the Field House (for those who RSVP'd by Wednesday's deadline) and Saturday's car show along the campus mall from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A motivational speaker, St. James is a seven-time Indianapolis 500 competitor, the first female Indy 500 Rookie of the Year and one of the "Top 100 Female Athletes of the Century" as chosen by Sports Illustrated. Spectator parking for the car show, designated by directional signs, is next to the Klump Academic Center. Due to heavy traffic and the logistics of moving vehicles onto the show field, spectators are asked to wait until 11 a.m. to arrive on campus to view the cars.
