Penn College Launches Redesigned Athletics Website

Fans of Pennsylvania College of Technology Athletics now have a new and improved source for information as the department revealed its redesigned website, which features the same content that fans have enjoyed in past – with several enhancements – and a sleek, modern look.
With the creation of a new Wildcats logo in May and the department extending its contract with SIDEARM Sports, Penn College Athletics' website provider since 2014, it was the perfect time for a new look.
"Our department has had incredible enhancements recently, most notably a new logo and full NCAA Division III membership, so it was time that our website reflect this new era," said Matt Blymier, the college's assistant director of athletics/sports information director. "This new site is the keystone of our rebranding efforts and will allow us to showcase our institution and student-athletes to a massive audience."
The website will continue to have schedules, results and rosters of Penn College's 15 intercollegiate programs, along with live stats, enhanced player's biographies – featuring season and career statistics – and team all-time record books.
The new design is anchored by a massive image in the story rotator – three times the size of the previous site's image – with a scrolling scoreboard/schedule at the top of the screen and real-time social media integration in the middle of the page. The site displays a new feature, "Player Spotlight," where a Wildcat student-athlete will be highlighted on a monthly basis.
Other notable enhancements include: easier navigation to view live webcasts, shop for athletics gear and contribute to the Wildcat Club – all of which have their own static ad – as well as sports-specific social media feeds and upgraded coaches' bios.
