Wildcats Well-Represented in USCAA Soccer, Volleyball Awards

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association announced its All-American and All-Academic Team award winners for men’s and women’s soccer and women’s volleyball Wednesday night. Penn College totaled six All-Americans and four All-Academic Team selections.



All-American honors are based on athletic performance throughout the season and are voted on by the institutions of the USCAA. Senior men’s soccer player Christopher Brennan (New Hope) was the lone First-Team, All-American selection. This year, he ranked in the top five in the USCAA in goals with 28.

Junior volleyball player Courtney Gernert (Palmyra) and sophomore women’s soccer players Robyn Beddow (Lancaster) and Madilyn Walters (Lewistown) earned Second-Team, All-American honors. Gernert led the USCAA in kills per set (four) while Beddow led the Lady Wildcats with 14 goals and Walters with 11 assists.

Sophomore men’s soccer player Luke McFalls (New Oxford) and freshman women’s soccer player Kelsea Robbins (Milton) earned All-American honorable mention. McFalls totaled 12 goals this season while Robbins had 10.

The All-Academic team is comprised of student-athletes that have maintained a 3.5 cumulative GPA or better. Seniors David Munn (Athens) and Caleb Wise (Manheim) made the cut for men's soccer, as well as Beddow for women’s soccer and senior Rachel Heller (Allison Park) for women’s volleyball.
