Penn College senior Greg Solyak (Lititz) received an honorable mention for United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Division II Player of the Week honorsduring the week ending Jan. 9. Solyak averaged 23.5 points and 11 rebounds, notching two double-doubles in a 1-1 week for the Wildcats. He had a season-high 30 points against Division III Misericordia University. Solyak is second on the team in scoring this season, averaging 17.3 points, and rebounding with 6.3. As a junior, he broke the 1,000-point career mark, sealing his name in Penn College history. Solyak and the Wildcats will continue conference play when they host Penn State York at 8 p.m. Thursday in Bardo Gymnasium. Visit online for more athletics news and updates.
