Wildcat Sluggers Nab Weekly Conference Honors

    Jessica GmerekZachary ButerbaughJunior baseball player Zachary Buterbaugh, of Conestoga, and freshman softball player Jessica Gmerek, of Bellefonte, were named Penn State University Athletic Conference "Hitters of the Week" for the period ending March 16.  As both players competed for their respective teams during a Spring Break tournament in Myrtle Beach, S.C., Buterbaugh hit an impressive .571 with 10 runs and an on-base percentage of .647.  Gmerek hit .381 with six runs and seven RBIs.  Their efforts helped their teams to a combined nine wins during the week.
