The team consisted of graphic communications technology student Angela M. Sampsell, DuBoistown; graphic communications management students Abby E. Gliem, Biglerville, and Ashlyn M. Hershberger, Hummelstown; and graphic design student Timothy A. Miller, Williamsport.

The students participated in numerous technical presentations and seminars and had the opportunity to meet and talk with many industry leaders. The importance of education to the flexographic industry was a key element of this year's forum, and 11 colleges were invited to participate in this year's Info-Flexo trade show as exhibitors.

The colleges were given a specific list of information that was to be included within their booths, which were judged by a group of industry representatives. Penn College was selected as the winner of the competition. Other schools competing included Clemson University, Cal Poly, University of Wisconsin-Stout, Appalachian State University and Central Piedmont Community College.

"This is an excellent opportunity for our students to make direct contact with the flexographic industry and network with industry leaders and peer students from other schools," said Jim Lentz, associate professor in graphic communications. "Penn College gains much visibility for its program, and the opportunity to participate is very much appreciated."

The Flexographic Technical Association Inc. is the leading technical society devoted exclusively to the flexographic printing industry.
