Students’ Creative Talents at Work on Penn College Campus

Four students are employed by the Public Relations & Marketing Office at Pennsylvania College of Technology, using their photographic and videography talents to help publicize Penn College people, programs and events.
Elizabeth S. Greis, of Pottsville, joined the PRM staff as a student photographer in January. Greis earned an associate degree in dental hygiene in May and is a senior in dental hygiene: health policy and administration concentration. She played on Penn College’s women’s soccer team for three years and has been active with the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association.
Adrian I. Mundo, of Selinsgrove, has served as a student video production assistant since June. A senior in electronics and computer engineering technology, Mundo is a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard.
Caleb G. Schirmer, of Sugarloaf, a technology management major, joined the PRM staff this month as a student photographer. Schirmer earned an associate degree in landscape/horticulture technology: landscape emphasis in May. He is president of the Off-Campus Housing Organization, a tutor in Penn College’s Writing Center, secretary of Students Making a Contribution, a Student Government Association senator for the School of Business & Hospitality, and a member of Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). Schirmer supports a number of additional student organizations, including the Horticulture Club and Penn College Benefiting THON.
Dalaney T. Vartenisian, of Trout Run, has served as a student photographer since May. A sophomore in web and interactive media, Vartenisian is a web development intern at The Graphic Hive, a web and graphic design marketing business in Williamsport.
Working in a casual part-time capacity, the student photographers can be found around campus photographing people and events for PCToday, college press releases, One College Avenue magazine (print and online), social media and various marketing materials. They also work in PRM’s photo studio and help maintain the college’s digital photo database.
The student production assistant, also a casual part-time employee, helps the PRM video-production team produce video profiles and “degrees that work.” videos that are featured on the college’s website and YouTube channel and on public television.
