Penn College at Wellsboro Offers Computer Classes

Pennsylvania College of Technology at Wellsboro, located in Wellsboro Area Senior High School, will offer several computer classes this fall.

The classes are taught by qualified instructors at a comfortable pace for all levels of adult learners. They are held in a relaxed computer classroom environment, allowing students to learn, experiment and ask questions. Classes are "hands-on" with one student per computer station.



WordPress.com: Beginner’s Guide to Creating a Website or Blog will show participants with basic computer skills how to use WordPress as a free Web host. It includes topics such as writing and publishing a blog or website; adding images, videos and audio; and customizing a design. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Microsoft Excel Level I is designed for those wanting to learn about creating and managing worksheets, performing calculations, and developing and printing spreadsheets. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Microsoft Excel Level II is for those desiring more advanced skill sets necessary for calculating data using functions and formulas, sorting and filtering data using basic PivotTables for analyzing data, and customizing workbooks. This class is scheduled to meet from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.

A full-time administrative medical assistant program is scheduled to begin in September.
