After a season of multiple postponements and cancellations, the Penn College wrestling team was able to honor its lone graduating senior, Joe Champluvier, in front of a packed house in Bardo Gymnasium before the start of Saturday's Mid-East Conference Championships. Head coach Schuyler Frey spoke about Champluvier, having known him from the time he was a high school wrestler, noting how proud he is of Champluvier’s efforts this season. Champluvier, a heavy construction equipment technology: technician emphasis major from Laceyville, joined the team this season. He has 13 wins and finished fifth in the MEC at the 157 class, earning a bid to the national championships in Allen, Texas, from March 14-16.
